Women Helping Women Fund Tri-Cities accepts grant applications on an annual basis. Grant application begins in February with applications due the 3rd week of March. Grants typically range from $2,500-$25,000 and are limited to specific programs sponsored by an agency. The October luncheon proceeds will determine the amount to be awarded for the following grant year January 1-December 31. No federal funds are included in the WHWFTC support provided to programs.

Women Helping Women Fund Tri-Cities values programs that balance cost effectiveness with need, maximize community resources, are viable and sustainable, use a collaborative approach and are able to measure impact and evaluate outcomes. Our Board gives priority to programs that help improve the lives of women and children in the Tri-Cities area by assisting in their care and development. Programs will be considered that offer preventive strategies and/or proactive initiatives in one or more of the following areas:

  • Child care/Early learning opportunities
  • Drug use prevention, especially as it impacts the lives of children
  • Family violence
  • Food Insecurity
  • Homelessness
  • Mental Health
  • Parental and caregiver education and support
  • Programs designed to reduce the incidence of high school dropout through direct student assistance
  • Self-sufficiency for women (including, but not limited to, employment training)

Grant applications may NOT be submitted online. Please be sure to use the current grant application and budget worksheet for grant year 2023. Current and complete grant proposals must be received at the WHWFTC office c/o the CSA Building Receptionist no later than Friday, March 17, 2023, at 12:00 noon to be considered for funding in 2023. Late proposals will not be considered. Only agencies with a 501(c)(3) non-profit designation are eligible. If you have any questions, please contact us.
