WHWF-TC conducts a benefit luncheon each year featuring a dynamic, nationally-recognized speaker to educate and enlighten our audience. 100% of the donations raised at the luncheon are used to fund local programs that benefit women and children. Since 2000, WHWF-TC has raised almost $700,000 for the Tri-Cities community.

Prior luncheon speakers include:

2009 - Molly Baker - Founder of Girls on the Run program

2008 – Barbara Stanny – Author and noted authority on women and money

2007 - Dr. M. Joycelyn Elders – 16th Surgeon General of the United States and advocate for health care awareness in the 21st Century

2006 – Shelley Fabares – Actress and spokeswoman for the National Alzheimer’s Association

2005 – Judy Collins – Music artist and advocate for mental health issues

2004 – Kathleen Kennedy Townsend – Maryland’s first female Lieutenant Governor and advocate for volunteerism, service, and women taking power seriously

2003 – Mavis Nicholson Leno – National Chair of the Feminist Majority Foundation’s Campaign to Help Afghan Women and Girls

2002 – Linda Ellerbee – Award-winning television producer, bestselling author, journalist, and breast cancer survivor

2001 – Mona Locke – Washington State’s twentieth First Lady and advocate for early childhood learning
